Welcome Address
I welcome you to the Directorate of Open Distance and e-Learning. We are committed to delivering lectures via e-learning with excellence, integrity and innovation. Recognizing the need for a transformative solution, we embraced e-learning as the way forward. This initiative was conceived by our dynamic and focused Vice- Chancellor Prof. Shehu Abdul-Rahman to mitigate and demystify the impact of high student enrollment and limited classroom and facilities to accommodate the students.
Excellence In Open, Distance and e-Learning is our Focus I welcome you to our Directorate as we share our experiences at the Directorate of Open Distance and e-learning, Federal University of Lafia. The growing demand for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) is on the rise as more people and institutions of learning recognizes its benefits and relevance which also bridges the gap of limited physical facilities for learning and increasing student’s intake. The benefit of digital learning includes improvement in the standard of education, effective and efficient study with ease, reduction of stress for lecturers, elimination of university transfer, involvement of students with online facilities.
