My Strength Depends On Your Prayers, Abdul Rahman Tells Shafa Abakpa

The Vice-Chancellor Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has expressed his deep appreciation to the people of Shafa Abakpa, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, for their prayers for his administration and the entire University.
Professor Abdul Rahman stated this when officials of the Shafa Abakwa Community Association (SACA) paid him a congratulatory visit at his office in Lafia.
Abdul Rahman, elated by the visit, urged them to continue praying to God to promote the image of the entire people of Toto Local Government Area, saying that “this (his) appointment is for all of us, therefore, we should join hands for its success.”
The vice-chancellor, while pledging to run a transparent administration that would be a pride to all Nigerians irrespective of their tribe, religion or region, promised to use his good office to help Nigerians.
He noted with dismay how some students of the community were not taking their studies seriously, advising the delegation to help their wards to perform better.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Usman Adams, said they were at the Abdul Rahman’s office to congratulate him on his appointment as the third vice-chancellor of FULafia and the first person who attained the pinnacle of academia in the entire Toto Local Government Area.
While advising Abdul Rahman to remain strong and courageous to take the University to higher level.
Adams said they were not surprised at the vice-chancellor’s recent elevation because of his unprecedented records in the university system.
Adams, who is the a Director of Finance and Administration at the Nasarawa State Boundary Commission, appealed to the vice-chancellor to consider their community members in the area of admission and employment.
“We are appealing to you, sir, to help our children who made all the required points for admission, he said.”
The major highlight of the visit was the presentation congratulatory letter to the vice-chancellor by the Shafa Abakpa Community Association.
