Management Information System (MIS)

The Directorate of Management Information System (MIS) was established by Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) under the stewardship of the second Vice Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Liman in 2019. Over the past four years, MIS has been playing a crucial role in automating all day to day activities of FULafia and has made remarkable achievements in providing electronic solutions for effective management of the University. The digital age has made it obligatory for every institution to have a fully functional Management Information System (MIS) to facilitate achieving the university’s key mission of having an IT driven institution and the Federal University of Lafia, is at the forefront in this regard. The Directorate of MIS serves as a knowledge management centre equipped with the facilities for gathering, storing, and easy retrieval of data and information necessary for effective management of the University. The Directorate serves as the local provider of information system service of the University, developing software applications and components for the automation of processes and services in the University.

• Collecting and storing of data relating to students, staff, and financial maters
• Organizing operation for decision making.
• Processing data for the use of the Vice Chancellor
• Training relevant staff in the operation of MIS.
