Improve your skills to be relevant, FULafia Registrar tasks administrators

The Registrar, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Malam Nuradeen Abdu, has called on members of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) to acquire skills that will enable them become relevant in their fields of specialisation.
Abdu made the call during a step-down training organised by ANUPA, FULafia Branch, held at the Mallam Adamu Adamu hall of the University.
Speaking while declaring open the event, Abdu admonished participants to take the training seriously, saying: “As specialists in the administrating business, you have to step up efforts towards becoming relevant in your areas of specialisation or you’ll be left behind.”
On his part, the Chairman ANUPA, FULafia Branch, Mr. Simeon Onah, represented by Mr. Charlse Onukpono, thanked the Management of FULafia for providing a conducive working environment for staff, encouraging participants at the training to work harder to add value to themselves and the institution.
The Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Farouk Naslea, appreciated the organisers of the event for deeming it fit to step-down the knowledge they gained during their training, saying that the training would go a long way to develop the University.
In their presentations, Hinga Andrew T., Able, Solomon O., Ayuba, Awazi Joyce, Olumipe Adikwu and Dauda, Zhedu Duglu made a case for adequate capacity building of staff and additional manpower in the University, among others, to realise the core values of the institution, namely, integrity, innovation and excellence.
They also applauded the Management of FULafia for ensuring staff training, adding that the role of administrators in the University system cannot be overemphasised.
