I feel honoured by Festschrift — Abdul Rahman

Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), expressed his profound gratitude towards the staff and students of the University, saying that “on this day and occasion, I feel highly honoured and encouraged to continue to work to make this University great.”
Abdul Rahman commended the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of the University’s community in fostering a culture of academic excellence.
Abdul Rahman spoke at the public presentation of a festschrift in his honour, where many scholars and students gathered to celebrate his accomplishments.
The event was held at MIS Multipurpose Hall Permanent Site Campus of the University.
Representing Abdul Rahman at the occasion, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, expressed Abdul Rahman’s appreciation for the overwhelming support and kindness shown to him by his friends, staff and students over the years.
She thanked royal fathers and other special guests in attendance, pledging continued support for excellence in academic pursuits.
Abdul Rahman acknowledged the efforts of esteemed individuals such as the chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Danladi Halilu Envuluanza, Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad, Sangarin Shabu, Alhaji Mahmoud Umar Bwala, as well as Professor Ilemona Adofu and his team of editors for their contributions to the project.
In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion and former Secretary, National Judicial Council, Alhaji Danladi Halilu Envuluanza, praised Abdul Rahman, highlighting his expertise in agricultural economics and dedication to ensuring food security in Nigeria.
Envuluanza underscored the significance of agriculture in national development, commending Abdul Rahman for his commitment and service.
He described him as a brilliant scholar and loyal friend “who is devoted to enhancing the well-being of all citizens through agricultural initiatives.”
The event also featured a performance from the students of the Theatre and Media Arts Department of FULafia.
Also in attendance at the event were notable figures including top security personnel and other dignitaries from within and outside the state, underscoring the widespread respect and admiration for Professor Abdul Rahman.
