FULafia VC, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, appoints Provost of College of Postgraduate Studies, Directors, others
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved the following appointments:
– Prof. Victor Samson Dugga, Provost, College of Postgraduate Studies (CPGS)
– Prof. Dalhatu Musa Yusha’u, Deputy Provost, College of Postgraduate Studies
– Prof. Amos Idzi Ambo, Director, Directorate of Open Distance and E-learning (DODEL)
– Dr. Abubakar Hassan, Deputy Director, DODEL
– Dr. Joseph Dlama Zira, Ag. Director, Artificial Intelligence Centre (AIC)
– Dr. Abdukareem Alhassan, Ag. Director, Centre for General Studies
– Mrs. Becky Kajo, Head, Staff Productivity Promotion Unit (SPPU).
According to the statement issued by the Registrar of the University, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, the appointments of the provost and deputy provost of College of Postgraduate studies is as a result of approval of transformation of school of Postgraduate Studies to College of Postgraduate Studies by the Senate of the University.
The statement further stated that the appointments of the provost and deputy provost of the CPS are to subsist for two years, effective from July 29, 2024, while that of the director of DODEL takes effect from August 1, 2024, and it shall also subsist for two years.
Other appointments are for one year, effective August 1, 2024.
