FULafia V-C inaugurates Nat. Assoc. of Agric. Economists Conference LOC
The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, inaugurated the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the forthcoming 21st Annual Conference of the National Association of Agricultural Economist.
Abdul Rahman, a professor of agricultural economics, is the chairman of LOC and the conference is scheduled to take place in FULafia between October 19 and 22.
Abdul Rahman inaugurated the committee during a brief meeting with members of the LOC in his office in Lafia.
He expressed his belief that come October, FULafia would be adequately ready to host the annual agriculture conference.
He, therefore, charged members of the committee to work round the clock to ensure success of the event.
“I have confidence in you people and I’m sure you can do this job well,” the vice-chancellor told the members.
Three sub-commitees were established to facilitate workings of LOC during the inaugural meeting.
They are: Publicity and Logistics Committee, Entertainment Committee and Publication Committee.
