FULafia celebrates two distinguished administrators

The Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has organised a farewell dinner celebration in honour of departing senior administrators, Mrs. Helen Bello, who is now a registrar at the British-Canadian University, Kakum, Obudu, Cross River State, and Mrs. Florence Ngozi Chukwuemeka-Ezi, who has retired from service.
The event took place at the MIS Multi-Purpose Hall of the University.
Delivering his address at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, said that the event was organised to appreciate Mrs Bello and Mrs Chukwuemeka-Ezi for their immense contribution to the development of the University.
The vice-chancellor described the appointment of Mrs Bello as the Registrar of the British-Canadian University, Obudu, Cross River State, as a great achievement to FULafia.
Abdul Rahman prayed for God to grant them success in their future endeavours, charging them to continue to be good ambassadors of FULafia wherever they found themselves.
Also, in his remarks, the Registrar of the University, Nuradeen Abdu, described the honourees as some of the best in the registry department, saying that they provided guidance and mentorship to the younger administrators.
He thanked them for their contributions and the cordial relationship he enjoyed while working with them, asking the younger administrators to emulate them.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of the Dinner Organising Committee, Mr Mustapha Hanafi-Idiaro, expressed his gratitude to the vice-chancellor for promoting academic and administrative excellence in the University.
Goodwill messages were delivered by Prof. Abiodun Iyoro, the University Librarian,
Dr Abubakar Hassan Ahmed II, Head of Quality Assurance of the University, and Comrade Becky Kajo, Women Leader of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU).
The high point of the dinner celebration was the presentation of gifts to the honourees and dance performances by students of the Theatre and Media Arts Department of the University.
