Environmental Safety

The FULafia Directorate of Environmental Safety was established in July, 2022 with the task of maintaining Safety, Security and Beautification of the University environment. The Directorate is made up of security and Safety while Beautification was later moved to the Sanitation unit under the Vice Chancellors’ watch. The security unit has three (3) security companies operating with the University namely;
i. Hi- Tech Security company Limited
ii. Life Guards Security Ltd
iii. FULafia Consult security in addition to the tenure Safety operatives
The security unit of the directorate is comprised of sub – units;
a. Operation
b. Crime and Investigation Unit
c. Information and Intelligence Unit
d. Regimental Officer
Furthermore, the operation unit is subdivided into security operational zones with each headed by a zonal Head who in turn oversee the activities of the Zonal supervisors and the guards/drivers.
Also, the Fire safety unit is an integral of the directorate as the Unit has serviceable Firefighting truck for any eventuality. The safety unit comprises of Fire Safety Officers and drivers.

III. Protection of University facilities.
IV. Provision of protective services
V. Performance of ad-hoc committee duties
VI. Gathering of intelligence information/ surveillance
VII. Conduction of crime investigation
