Dr. Nasirudeen Baba of FULafia now Fellow CSN
In recognition of his contributions to the fields of research and academics, Dr. Nasirudeen Mohammed Baba of the Department of Chemistry, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN).
The inductions took place at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
The Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) was founded in 1971.
It is the umbrella body of all chemists in Nigeria which, among other things, seeks to protect the professional interest of chemists and promote the propagation, study and practice of the science of chemistry in Nigeria.
Speaking after his investiture, Dr. Baba thanked God for the award, describing it as timely.
He said the award would spur him to contribute more to the fields of academic and research.
Baba thanked the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Liman and his colleagues for the support he received from them, saying that they have encouraged him to excel.
The investiture ceremony had in attendance, Prof. Liman and the Director General of NESREA, Prof. Aliyu Jauro.
Dr. Nasirudeen Mohammed Baba is the Deputy Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, and Director, Centre for General Studies, FULafia.
