including graduate and post-doctoral research studies in any area of energy studies
iii. To build facilities and provide infrastructure for operationalization of the Centre.
iv. To promote sustainable energy development by finding ways to meet current
energy demands without compromising the needs of future generations.
v. To ensure a stable and secure energy supply via studies of the geopolitical,
economic and technological factors that affect energy security, seeking to identify vulnerabilities and proposing strategies for enhancing it.
vi. To promote research and development of innovative cutting-edge technologies
and solutions for more efficient, cleaner, and renewable energy sources
vii. To provide consultancy services and engage with the public to increase
awareness and understanding of energy-related issues, with an emphasis on energy conservation, sustainable practices, and the potential impacts of energy choices on society and the environment
viii. To evaluate existing energy policies and issues related to regulations, incentives
and subsidies and propose improvements, and offer evidence-based recommendations to policymakers.
ix. To determine the economic aspect of energy production, distribution, and
consumption, the cost-effectiveness of different energy sources and the impact of energy prices on economies and market dynamics within the energy sector
x. To explore the environmental impacts of various energy sources, advocate for
reduced carbon emissions, and examine the potential for carbon capture and other mitigation strategies.
xi. To collaborate with government agencies, industry stakeholders, non¬
governmental organizations and other related research institutions to leverage on collective knowledge and resources to address complex energy challenges.
xii. To address global energy challenges by promoting international cooperation,
and sharing knowledge and best practices with other countries and organizations.
xiii. To foster Industry Engagement by collaborating with energy industry
stakeholders to bridge the gap between research and practical applications, fostering innovation, and ensuring that research is aligned with industry needs.
xiv. To promote and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers,
scientists, engineers, social scientists and policymakers to address complex energy challenges from multiple angles.
