Centre For Security Studies

About Us
Security can ensure national survival by guaranteeing continuing safety and prosperity of its citizens. Of course, the reciprocal security obligation between a country and its citizens is the normative basis upon which a country claims to be a protector of the people;and until the 21st Century this was achieved mostly through the kinetic approach. However, development in security sector has seen expansion in issues hence the necessary change to adopt non-kinetic approach that guarantees more effective security and promotes socio-economic development. It is in recognition of the promises of non-kinetic approach to security and sustainable peace in Nigeria that the Federal University of Lafia established the Centre for Security Studies in December,2022 (FULCSS).
