Abdul Rahman urges Muslims to fear Allah, promote peace

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has urged Muslims to be mindful of their duties to Allah and fear Him.
Abdul Rahman spoke when members of the community of Muslims from the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, (NSUK) visited him in Lafia.
The vice-chancellor called on his visitors to work to promote peace and lead life in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
“Fear God, obey His laws and respect everyone,” Abdul Rahman said, expressing his appreciation for their visit.
Promising to strengthen his relationship with the group, Abdul Rahman promised the members of his support and assistance whenever his attention was called.
Earlier, the members of the Muslim Ummah, NSUK, led by its Chairman, Professor Sadeeq Alkafawi, said they were at Abdul Rahman’s office to identify with, and congratulate him on his recent appointment as the vice-chancellor of FULafia.
The chairman, while stating their support for the vice-chancellor, he commended him for his sustained efforts to unite the Muslim Ummah. He said that the group would pray for Prof. Abdul Rahman in his bid to develop FULafia.
“The Muslim community in NUSK is proud of your emergence of as the vice chancellor, FULafia, and we’ll pray fervently for your own success and, of course, the success of this University you’re heading.” He said.
The chairman, therefore, prayed for the vice-chancellor to have a successful tenure, calling on him him to be God fearing in discharging his responsibility.
Those present during the event included the Registrar, Dr. Abubakar Mamuda, who prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the vice-chancellor in the process of discharging his duty of taking FULafia to the next level of development.
