FULafia staff, Rai Dandaura, earns prestigious AMAA nomination
Mr. Rai Dandaura, a staff member of the Department of Theatre and Media Arts at Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), has been nominated for the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Best Achievement in Sound for the film “This Is Lagos.”
According to a notification letter signed by Tony Anih, Director of Administration/COO of Africa Movie Academy Awards, the AMAA ceremony will take place on November 2, 2024, at the Balmoral Convention Center, Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Considered Africa’s equivalent of the Oscars, this nomination is a significant recognition of professionalism in filmmaking.
The Africa Movie Academy Awards, established in 2005, is an annual celebration of excellence in the African film industry, promoting research, training, and filmmaking through the Osigwe Anyiam Osigwe Foundation.
As the most prestigious and glamorous event in Africa’s entertainment industry, AMAA honors the brightest talents in African cinema.
