Leaders emerge as FULafia SSANU holds 2nd quadrennial congress

Leaders were retained as the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) Branch members, recently, gathered for the Second Quadrennial Congress.
Consequently, all the leaders of SSANU, FULafia Branch, elected four years ago, would now remain in their position for a fresh term of four years with Comrade Daniel Da’an Dajen as the Chairman.
Other officials are: Abdulraheem A. Opeyemi (Deputy Vice Chairman), Buba Ibrahim (Secretary), Grace Augustine (Assistant Secretary), Aisha Lawal (Treasurer), Isah Adamu Okpadobu (Financial Secretary), Salihu Abdullahi (Public Relations Officer), Monday Sarki (Ex-officio), Yusuf Abdul’aziz (Trustee), and Becky Mnena Kajo (Coordinator).
The affirmation and quadrennial congress event was held at the MIS Hall, FULafia, Permanent Site Campus, Lafia.
The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Aleruchi Chuku.
The Registrar of FULafia, Malam Nuruddeen Abdu, and SSANU’s national and zonal representatives also graced the occasion.
Declaring the event open, the vice-chancellor emphasised the need to put institutions first in all union’s activities.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Dajen pledged to improve members’ welfare, calling on other unions’ representatives to collaborate with SSANU to advance FULafia’s development.
