FULafia’s SPPU holds end of year get-together

December 14, 2024, was a memorable day for the Staff Productivity Promotion Unit (SPPU), Federal University, Lafia (FULafia), as the unit hosted an end of year get-together.

The event was organised by SPPU to appreciate and celebrate the outstanding contributions of its staff.

The ceremony featured the presentation of gifts and certificates of appreciation to staff members.

The Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, Mr Mustapha Idiaro, represented the Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, and commended the SPPU’s efforts and contributions.

He stated that the University’s Management was pleased with the unit’s performance, encouraging staff to maintain their excellent work.

“The reward for hard work is more work,” he said.

Comrade Becky Kajo, the Head of SPPU, expressed her gratitude to the staff for their teamwork, dedication and commitment to the unit’s mandate.

The SPPU, it would be recalled, was established by the current Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, to be responsible for the training and retraining staff in the University.

The event was attended by notable guests, including FULafia ANUPA Chairperson, Mrs. Joyce Ayuba, Comrade Grace Augustine, and several others.

The event climaxed with the presentation of gifts to two outgoing staff of the SPPU, namely, Abdulrazak Aganji and Mr. Dan’Asabe Agyege, for their contributions to the unit.
