Faculty of Management Sciences holds int‘nl conference

The Faculty of Management Sciences, Federal University Lafia (FULafia), recently, held its first-ever Annual International Conference.
The conference aimed to facilitate meaningful dialogue, exchange innovative ideas and build networks.
Similarly, it was designed to provide solutions to resource management challenges during economic turmoil and promote sustainable national development.
The theme of the conference was: “Resilient Resource Management Amidst Economic Turmoil: Strategies for Sustainable National Development.”
The event was held at the MIS Multi-purpose Hall on the Permanent site Campus.
The Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, represented by Professor Muhammad Tanko Aliyu, highlighted the significance of the conference in the faculty’s history, emphasising the importance of discussing resource management strategies during economic challenges.
In his welcome address, Professor Mohammad Isa Kida, the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences and Chairman, Committee of Provosts, Deans and Directors, expressed his hope that the discussions held would add value to FULafia and academic community as a whole.
The Keynote speaker Dr. Kyari Mohammed Dikwa, Founder of Al-Ansar University Maiduguri and Al-Ansar Foundation, shared valuable insights on the theme of the conference.
Prof. Kabiru Isa Dandaga, from Bayero University, Kano, and Prof. Uche Uwaleke from Nasarawa State University Keffi, were the papers’ presenters at the event.
The conference featured four virtual sessions and one physical session, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of adequate resource management strategies in challenging economic times.
