Abdul Rahman congratulates NAPSS leaders on recent polls victory in Abuja

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has commended the National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS) for its proactive leadership role, saying that “the University Management will always support any association that can add value to the University.
The vice-chancellor stated this when the executive members of NAPSS, North-central Zone, paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lafia recently.
Thanking them for choosing FULafia as the venue for their forthcoming national conference, Abdul Rahman applauded them on their victory at the just concluded zonal elections held in Abuja which FULafia NAPSS Chapter emerged winners.
He said: “The importance of knowledge is for you to use it in solving problems in the society.”
Abdul Rahman urged them to exhibit responsible behaviours as good leaders.
Reacting to some request tabled before him by the association including the use of some University facilities during the conference, the vice-chancellor said that he will liaise with the dean of students affairs and other principals officers to workout modalities for the successful hosting of the national conference.
Earlier, the Coordinator of NAPSS North-entral Zone, Comrade Al-Mustapha Abubakar Mustapha, who spoke on behalf of the association, said they were at the vice-chancellor’s office to inform him about the association’s maiden Annual Regional National Conference scheduled to hold in FULafia, March 22, 2022.
Comrade Mustapha said that the conference with the theme: “Academic Research: Challenges and Prospects,” would be of benefit to students in various disciplines.
While appreciating the vice-chancellor for his numerous developmental activities in the University and his fatherly guidance to students,
he requested the vice-chancellor to be among the speakers during the conference and assist NAPSS to successfully hold the conference.
Also speaking at the event, the President of NAPSS, FULafia Chapter, comrade Vitalis Chidera O., informed the vice-chancellor of their recent victory in Abuja where FULafia NAPSS Chapter emerged winners.
He said that the national conference would explore how the University would play a vital role in creating jobs opportunities for students and unemployed people.
He said that the conference would attract captains of industries, experts on different specialisations and stakeholders.
Those who accompanied the NAPSS coordinator and the president were comrade Yakubu Habibat Oiza, NAPSS Vice President on Special Duties, North-central Zone and Matiki F. Anita, Secretary-General, North-central Zone.
