FULafia SRC presents sanitation materials to vice-chancellor

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), recently, presented sanitation materials to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, in an effort to promote cleanliness and hygiene on campus.

During the event dubbed: “Operation Keep FULafia Clean,” the vice-chancellor expressed his appreciation for the donation, acknowledging the positive impact it would have on the academic and overall environment of FULafia.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, Abdul Rahman lauded the SRC’s initiative in contributing to the cleanliness of the University.

He emphasised the importance of a clean environment in maintaining the physical and mental well-being of students.

He stressed the significance of students taking responsibility for their surroundings, encouraging them to continue the effort to keep FULafia clean.

The SRC President, Comrade Salisu Abdullahi Maiyaki, highlighted the alignment of the donation with the vice-chancellor’s leadership style.

He outlined the SRC’s plan to execute projects with a view to making the University a better place to live and learn.

The Vice President 1 of the SRC, Grace Ogbleba, who chaired the materials distribution committee, said that the materials would be distributed to faculties, departments and units to ensure the continuity of the sanitation initiative.

The event, attended by the University Management staff, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Partnerships, Prof. Sama’ila Usman Dakyes, Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, Bursar, Wilson Daniel, and others, showcased the collaborative effort between the SRC and Management to maintain a clean and healthy FULafia.
