The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) Branch, has congratulated Mr Nuradeen Abdu on his appointment as the third substantive registrar of FULafia, extolling his sterling qualities as a member of ANUPA.
The message of the association was delivered by its Chairman of ANUPA in FULafia, Mr. Simeon Onah, when he led other executive members on a courtesy visit to the registrar at his office in Lafia.
Onah said that the association was confident that Mr Abdu would provide the supports and services needed to take the University to enviable heights.
“As our patron, we promise to collaborate with you to ensure that your tenure registers landmark achievements, not just in our University alone, but in Nigeria’s university system as a whole,” Onah stated.
The chairman, while reminding the registrar that ANUPA’s objectives rested heavily on capacity building of its members, said that, last year, the vice-chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, in his quest to make staff productive, sponsored 20 ANUPA members to Abuja for training.
He told the registrar that on March 1, 2022, the association would hold a stepdown training for its members, requesting the registrar to be present at the event.
In his remarks, the new registrar, Mr Nuradeen Abdu, expressed his gratitude to ANUPA members for welcoming him as one of them.
He said that he has been an active member of ANUPA while in A.B.U Zaria, where he served for four years as the branch’s secretary, appealing to them to give him maximum cooperation for him and the association to succeed.
While assuring them of his and the Management’s support, the registrar promised to be at the stepdown training slated for March.
Abdu encouraged ANUPA not to rest on its oars in providing training and re-training for its members, saying that such trainings would improve quality of manpower to drive the vision and mission of the University and enhance its global status.
