FULafia promotes eight professors, 11 assoc. professors

The Governing Council of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has approved the promotion of eight associate professors to the rank of professor and 11 senior lecturers to the rank of associate professor.

Those appointed to rank of professor are Usman Alhassan, an agriculturalist and a specialist in plant breeding, Uji Wilfred, social and economic historian, Bako Ishaku Ara, a specialist in the area of epidemiology, biostatistics and health management, Kwaghe Emmanuel Zara, a historian, and Ugal David Betelwhobel, a scholar of demography population studies.

Others are George Genyi Akwaya, a political scientist, Ilemona Adofu, an economist, and Blaise Gundu Gbaden, a visual and creative arts scholar.

The following are those promoted to the rank of associate professors: Mohammed Alkali, Kyegh Aov Thaddeus, Okoli Chukwuma Albert, Adaka Terfa Ahon and Shekwonyadu Iyakwari.

Others include Akeyede Imam, Abimbola Oladiran Johnson, Hassan Isiaka Imam, Ochim Fidelis Ikaade, Abdullahi Al-Amin Adamu and Olagunju Adeyemi Sunday.
