Abdul Rahman commends SBRS’s commitment, dedication

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has praised staff of the School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS) for their dedication to achieving the school’s objectives.
Speaking during the 8th orientation exercise for the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) program students, Abdul Rahman, represented by Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, said: “Your efforts in shaping young minds are invaluable and the Management is grateful for your commitment.”
He urged the staff to provide students with opportunities to thrive socially, academically, and emotionally.
While welcoming the IJMB students, Abdul Rahman emphasised the importance of taking studies seriously, highlighting SBRS’s role in providing foundational skills, discipline and motivation for academic and career excellence.
Dr. Mohammed Binin, the SBRS Director, thanked the vice-chancellor and Management of the University for their support and commitment to ensuring quality service to students.
The orientation exercise involved the presentation of papers on issues such as: Admission Guidelines and Policies for Admission into FULafia, Studentship: an Overview of pre-degree programmes, Overview of Faculties and Departments in the University, IJMB: A qualifying examination into Nigerian and Foreign Universities, student misconducts and related social vices, Overview of library services, overview of FULafia medical services, and awareness of security.
