We’ll ensure quality of academic programmes, says FULafia V-C

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has vowed that all academic programmes in the University, including MBBS, will meet global standards.
He said so when some officials from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) visited FULafia to inspect facilities at the medical college.
Abdul Rahman stated “that training of medical professionals is crucial for healthcare of our people,” adding: “We understand that the future of healthcare in Nigeria depends on the calibre of doctors we produce.”
He said that the University would enhance students living and learning environments through building of additional hostels and teaching laboratories.
In his remarks, the team leader of the MDCN team to FULafia, Dr N.U. Nwakanma, praised the vice-chancellor’s commitment to the medical school’s development, promising continued partnership.
In her closing remarks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, thanked the MDCN for ensuring and promoting standards in medical schools
