The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, recently, inspected facilities and ongoing buildings in the University.
Abdul Rahman, accompanied by the Registrar of the University, Mr Nuradeen Abdu, and other staff visited the Faculty of Arts Annex, Faculty of Science Annex, Senate Building, Science Laboratory and construction site of the FULafia central mosque.
Since his assumption of duty, Abdul Rahman has not relented in achieving his dream of making FULafia one of the fifth best in Africa, a dream he intended to achieve, partly, through putting facilities in place with a view to making FULafia a centre for conducive teaching and learning.
Abdul Rahman, during his inspection, expressed his happiness with the state of affairs at the places he visited.
In some of places he visited, he, enthusiastically said: “I believe these facilities are ready for use immediately.”
He said that everything would be done to facilitate completion of ongoing projects and facilities in the University.
Abdul Rahman, therefore, called on the contractors to fasten up their work and finish them on time.
Speaking, the registrar, Mr Nuradeen Abdu expressed his joy with the things he saw, saying that “there is no need for any further delay to use some of the facilities that are ready for use.”
In his response, the Overseer, Physical Planning Unit, FULafia, Mr Yusuf Obiya, represented by Mr Monday Sarki, assured Abdul Rahman that no stone would be left unturned in the process of completing all the projects, adding that, soon, “they’ll all be put into use by the University.”
