Project Management skills, with strong ability to: manage resource and people, design and implementation and securing large-scale network and Internet infrastructure, design and implementation of web-based technologies, design and implementation of enterprise-wide collaboration systems. Enterprise-wide system needs assessment, eLearning and eGovernment design and implementation; big data technologies and digital economy implementation. Skilled in the development of ICT implementation and use policies. 

A strong team player and have ability to impact ICT skills and knowledge to technical and non-technical users. 

Professional Courses Attendance

Have attended several professional courses both locally (Nigeria) and internationally (African Countries, USA, UK and Germany). The courses covers several areas of ICT and Research methodology such as Object Oriented Programming, Internet and Emerging Technologies, Scalable Network and Internet Infrastructure and Techniques in Summative Evaluation.  

Conferences and Professional Meetings Attendance

Actively participates in Internet related matters locally, regionally and globally. Has made presentations at some the conferences and meetings such as E-learning Africa, Open Education Resources, Community Informatics Research Network, Cisco Academy Instructors Forum and Africa Internet Registry. 

Work Experience

Started work in 1995 as an Assistant Lecturer of Mathematics and Head of Computer Unit at the College of Education Gindiri. Subsequently, move to the University of Jos from October 1995 and worked as a Programmer, Statistical Data Analyst. Network Manager, Teaching of Undergraduate Computer courses in different departments. Grew through the ranks to the position of a Deputy Director of ICT providing direction and guidance in policy formulation and University wide ICT Development. Have contributed to the development of the University of Jos Research Policy Document.

Currently at the Federal University Lafia as the Director ICT, providing direction and guidance on University wide development and deployment of ICT Infrastructure. Also teaches undergraduate computer and Research methodology courses in the department of Computer Science. Teaching the Use of ICTs and Research Methodology for Post-Graduate Students (Masters and PhD) at School of Postgraduate School Studies. 

Have supervised over ten (10) undergraduate final year projects in different topics. Aside the technical and teaching engagements, there are committees that I have served or serving within the University. These committees are: University Sports (Chairman), School for Post Graduate Studies Board, Central Admissions, AdHoc Committee on Accreditation of Academic Programmes, University Examination Misconduct Committee, Deans and Directors, University Library/ICT, University Research, Linkages and Development, University Linkages and Development, Curriculum Development.  

Research and Publications 

Have conducted and participated in internationally funded projects and researches. Led a project team for $450,000 Educational Technology Initiative funded by Partnership for Higher Education in Africa at the University of Jos. Conducted research on Low powered PCs in Nigeria. Have received TeTfund Institutional-Based Research Grant twice, and have conducted work on Lecturers Perception in the use of technology and the Implementation of Digital Crime Detection and Reporting System for Police.

Have researched and written journal articles in information technology, information systems, e-learning, and Bio-inspired computing. Similarly, I have written and presented conference papers.
