The award, tagged: ‘’Icon of Educational Development,” was presented to Abdul Rahman in his office by the NWYCN Vice President, Comrade Blessing Ayuba, and other executives of the association.

"The award was bestowed on Abdul Rahman in recognition and appreciation of his immense contributions to youths, education and humanity in the country."

While decorating Abdul Rahman with the Badge of Honour, Comrade Ayuba, who represented the national president, Comrade Hafsat Adamu, said they have closely studied the administration of the vice-chancellor in the last one year and became satisfied with his commitment to education reforms and transformation of the University.
