The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has stated that a new faculty building would soon be constructed for the institution's Faculty of Social Sciences.

The vice-chancellor disclosed this during an interactive session he had with the staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University, recently, at the Take-off Site Campus.

He said that the management was aware that one of the challenges hindering the smooth operations of staff of the faculty was the lack of adequate office space, revealing that a contract was awarded and funds released to the contractor for the construction of a befitting edifice to serve as the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Abdul Rahman said that when the building is completed, it would bring the staff together to collaborate, create and innovate to provide better services.

The vice-chancellor urged the staff to do their work diligently and uphold the core values of the University, namely, integrity, innovation and excellence.

He encouraged the staff to study his blueprint for the University and ensure its implementation at the faculty level.

Those who attended the interactive session with the vice-chancellor included the dean of the Faculty, heads of departments, professors, teaching and non-teaching staff from the faculty.
