The Emir of Lafia, Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I, has has commended Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), for his provision of an "effective leadership in the University."

According to the emir, the kind of leadership being provided by Abdul Rahman has led to the recording of tremendous achievements in the University within the short period of his leadership.

The emir stated these when the Management of the University paid him a courtesy visit in his palace at Lafia.

The emir said: "FULafia is number one Federal institution that we cherished so much and we are proud of the tremendous progress recorded by this University since its establishment, especially now that the University is lucky to have a very effective and good administrator that has propelled fast development of the University."

While congratulating the newly appointed registrar, bursar and University librarian, the emir urged them to be committed to their duties, saying that his doors were open to them to visit him any time.

Earlier, Abdul Rahman informed the emir that he and his Management team members were at his palace to formally introduce the newly appointed Registrar of FULafia, Malam Nuradeen Abdu.

Abdul Rahman, however, said that he felt it wise to, equally, formally introduce Mr Wilson Daniel, the Bursar, and Dr. Abiodun Iyoro, the University Librarian, both appointed more than a year now.

The vice-chancellor thanked the emir for his support to the University, using the opportunity of the visit to invite him to serve as the royal father at the 6th National Gallery of Art Symposium schedule to hold in the University from March 15 to 18, 2022.

The vice-chancellor and members of his Management team also used the occasion of the visit to condole with the emir and the Lafia Emirate Council over the demise of the Wakilin Dallatun Lafia, Abdullahi Hassan, who died on the day of the visit.

The vice-chancellor, prayed to Allah to forgive sins of the departed souls.
