|By Yahaya Ahmed

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) Alumni Caretaker Committee has congratulated Nuradeen Abdu on his appointment as registrar of the University.

The registrar, Abdu, assumed work in FULafia in February and he is the third substantive occupant of the office.

The alumni association described the appointment of Abdu as apt, praising the registrar for his services to humanity.

The message of the alumni association was delivered by the chairman of the committee, Mr. Abdulkareem Suleiman, who led other members of the committee to the registrar on a courtesy call at his office.

Suleiman commended the registrar for quickly settling into his roles and complementing efforts of the vice-chancellor to make FULafia the fifth best university in Africa.

While assuring the registrar of their support and prayers for a successful tenure, the chairman said: "One of the major needs of the alumni committee is a befitting national secretariat and we call on you to assist in this regard."

Responding, the Registrar of FULafia, Nuradeen Abdu, thanked the alumni caretaker committee officials for their visit to congratulate him on his appointment, saying that the show of love by the alumni will inspire him to success.

Abdu praised the role of alumni associations, saying that they contribute to development of institutions.

He urged FULafia alumni to work hard with a view to developing the University to an enviable height.
