A newly built multi-millionaire Naira Research Laboratory Complex at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has been named.

The complex, situated at the Permanent Site Campus of the university, is, henceforth, to be known as Muhammadu Buhari Institute for Research and Training (MBIRT).

The naming of the complex was approved by the Governing Council of FULafia during its recent meeting.

The multi-million Naira facility was built to serve as a hub for promoting research and innovation in science and technology in the country and Nort-central region, in particular.

Other activities lined up before and on the day of the convocation include a pre-convocation lecture slated to hold on February 14, 2020.

The lecture is expected to be delivered by a renowned physicist, Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo.

Other activities are the Christians and Muslims prayers as well as a press conference organized to be addressed by the vice-chancellor, Professor Muhammad Sanusi Liman.
