John Ogbonoko is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Benue State University, and a Master of Science degree in Software Systems and Internet Technology (SSIT) from The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. His M.Sc. Thesis was on the development of IoT Smart Home with focus on developing a laboratory resources. He is currently a Ph.D student at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and his work is aimed at optimising the classification speed of SVM using a multi-objective nature inspired optimisation method. His research is at the intersection of software engineering, internet of things, machine learning, and web technologies. He is a member the International Association of Engineers (AIENG).
