Research Interest

Epidemiology of Communicable and Non communicable diseases, Neglected Tropical Diseases, International Public Health, Emergencies in Health, Sociology in Public Health, Rehabilitative Medicine, Health System Strengthening


A female public health physician- epidemiologist with over ten years’ experience as program manager, strategic planner, technical adviser and principal investigator, trainer and lecturer, mentor and educator in areas of emergency response and health including Reproductive Health (including HIV/AIDs), Tuberculosis and Immunization. Highly skilled, adaptable and recognized for a wide range of experience in management and leadership especially in strategic analyses and development issues, behaviour change communication, gender equality, advocacy, capacity building, private-public partnerships, networking research and evaluation. I have worked in all six geopolitical zones in Nigeria including the FCT.

With a vision towards improving the lives of vulnerable groups-women and children, the scope of experience widened as I worked with University of Abuja and various organizations including Global Fund, WHO, PEPFAR, CIDA, PACF (ViiV-UK). I have a PHD Public Health, Masters in Public Health (University of Liverpool and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) and a Post graduate diploma in Education. As a public health physician, a member of the American association of Public Health Physicians, Association of Public Health Physicians in Nigeria(APHPN), Epidemiological Society of Nigeria (EPISON) and the Nigeria Medical Association. Presently, the Financial Secretary of APHPN.
