Mr. Suleiman Bashir Akilu

Research Interest



Mr. Akilu Suleiman Bashir was born on 13th January, 1984 in Jalingo Taraba State. He obtained his B.A. (Ed.) Hausa at Bayero University Kano in 2007. From 2012 - 2017 he was at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto where he obtained his Master of Arts Degree in Hausa Studies.

He was a Part-time lecturer in Hausa Department at College of Education, Jalingo from 2009 - 2010. He bacame Hausa Examiner III with National Examination Council (NECO) from 2009 - 2014. From 2014 to date he became Hausa Examiner I with National Examination Council (NECO). From 2015 to date he is with West African Examination Council (WEAC) as Hausa Examiner. He attends (NECO) Preliminary Coordinations Minna 2015; Kaduna 2016; Enugu 2017, 2018; Ibadan 2019; and Kano 2020. From 2015 - 2017 he is a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Languages and Linguistics at National Institute for Nigerian Languages (NINLAN) Aba, Abia State. From 2017 to 2019 He became Assistant Lecturer in the same Institute.
He joined Federal University of Lafia from 2019 to date as Assistant Lecturer he became Acting Coordinator of Nigerian Languages Department from 2020 - 2021. He is also a committee member Faculty of Arts Information and Communication Technology from 2021 to date in the same University.
