FULafia Sensitises candidates on JAMB, UTME/Computer Based Test

As part of its community service initiatives, the Federal University Lafia (FULafia) has carried out awareness campaign on the newly introduced Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) computer-based test across the three senatorial zones of Nasarawa State.

Speaking, the Chairman of the University’s Community Service Committee Dr. Solomon Manzuchi, commended FULafi Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Liman, for orgarnising the sensitisation exercise in the state’s secondary schools.


Declaring the exercise open in Lafia, the vice-chancellor, represented by his deputy, Prof. Martin Ogbe, said that the university placed high premium on its community service programmes with a view to developing the people.

The sensitisation exercise included presentation on pre-registration and computer-based testing, procedures and policy for admission into Federal University Lafia and practical demonstration of computer-based test by participating students, facilitated by a computer analyst, Christian Maurice.

The exercise was conducted at the Auditorium of Federal University Lafia, for secondary schools within and around Lafia, Rishama Comprehensive College hosted secondary schools from Akwanga, Wamba and Nassarawa Eggon and Government College, Keffi, welcomed schools from Keffi, Karu, Kokona, Nasarawa and Toto local councils.

Other activities carried out by the Community Service Committee of the university, included: skill acquisition training for indigent youths of maraban Akunza, Hand-washing awareness campaign in schools around Lafia, beatification of Maraban Akunza round-about and rehabilitation of borehole in Akunzan Jarmai.
