New and returning students of Federal University Lafia are enjoined to pay up their 2016/2017 session charges through REMITA in favour of Federal University Lafia via any commercial bank from September 21, 2016 to October 17, 2016.
In addition, all new students (Year 1 and Direct Entry) are to pay acceptance fee of N5,000.00 before proceeding to pay other charges.

Professor Ekanem Ikpi Braide, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lafia has completed her five (5) year tenure as Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lafia, today, Monday February 15, 2016.
The outgoing Vice Chancellor, while congratulating the incoming Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Sanusi Liman, presented her hand over notes to him. This was done in a formal event in the presence of the Principal Officers of the University: the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Martin M. Ogbe; Registrar, Dr. Idris O. Jibrin; Bursar, Mr. Stephen Uvara and the University Librarian, Dr. (Mrs.) Rebecca Ape represented by a Principal Librarian, Mr. Johnson Olumide.
The newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Liman is a Professor of Plasma Physics. Before his appointment, he was the Head of Department of Physics in Federal University Lafia.
The National Universities Commission has commissioned a 155mbps Full duplex in Federal University Lafia. The platform is accessed through Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN), meant to enhance institutional research and development.
Commissioning the project, the Chairman of the Board and Executive Secretary of National Universities Commission, Prof. Julius Okojie applauded the University for being the first among the new Universities established by the immediate past administration to be connected to the 155mbps Full duplex.
Earlier in her address, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ekanem Ikpi Braide said the package will improve the quality of teaching and research in the institution. She commended the bodies that have made the platform come to fruition.
While giving the background of the 155mbps Full duplex, the Coordinator of NgREN, Dr. Joshua Attah enumerated the benefits to include: face to face interaction with lecturers and students, reduction in overseas training, global recognition, enhancing of University ranking, cost reduction in communication between NUC and the varsity among others.
The event ended with the cutting of tape by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFund, Sen. Binta Masi Garba.
The National Universities’ Commission (NUC) has released the results of the last Accreditation Exercise to Federal University Lafia. In a Memo to the Vice Chancellor, dated 2nd February 2016, the NUC announced that Federal University Lafia earned full accreditation for eight programmes and Interim status for five programmes. No programme was denied accreditation in the University.
The programmes that earned full accreditation are History, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology and Zoology.
English, Visual and Creative Arts, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics earned Interim accreditation status.
The University presented thirteen programmes and, by this result, has approval to continue to run all of them.
